When my husband was recovering from a stroke, we were happy to find Marin Home Care headquartered in our own home town. Their staff has been friendly, helpful, and capable. Our primary caregiver, Emily, is always cheerful, observant, and attentive to our needs. We are extremely grateful to have such an organization to call on during a challenging time in our lives.

After a long battle in the hospital, it was time to enroll mom in hospice and bring her home. That is where she wanted to be. Having her home would mean she needed 24-hour care. It was Friday when we made the decision to bring her home on Monday. Marin Home Care was able to secure 24-hour care with this short notice. The caregiver arrived the first day. As soon as I saw her face, her warm smile and gentle way had a calming effect on all of us. She immediately bonded with my mom. Wasting no time, she started organizing and caring for my mom. We have a main caregiver 5 days a week who is now our family. I know when I am not able to be with my mom, I trust that she is well taken care of. The caregivers who fill in when the primary caregiver is off have also has a kind, gentle demeanor that alleviates any anxiety. I highly recommend using Marin Home Care for your caregiver needs.

We called Marin Home Care with an unanticipated and urgent need for help caring for someone coming home from the hospital. Nurse Belluomini responded almost immediately and was so caring and helpful! She assisted us to determine our needs and then sent over a skilled and compassionate caregiver who was lovely to have in our home. As a nurse, myself, I can tell quality care when I see it. Marin Home Care provided excellent, high-quality care with a convenient and straightforward administrative/ supervisory process. I highly recommend them!

My family conducted an extensive search for in-home care agencies to assist my father when we were unable to be there for him. We contacted many agencies and Marin Home Care stood out from the rest. They were professional, compassionate, extremely organized, and their management team was actively involved at the onset and throughout the entire process. The owner Laura was amazing. Marin Home Care did a great job for us. They were able to respond quickly when we needed help, and provided two caretakers which were a good match for our aunt.  They have a great web platform which is useful for keeping family members informed. I'm so very grateful for Marin Home Care.  Laura the owner and director came highly recommended to me from my sister.  On her very first visit to our home I already felt a weight being lifted from my shoulders.  My husband's parents were in dire need of home care but had been refusing for many years.  Laura recommended starting with just a few hours a week with a very sweet and attentive care giver named Abby.  As soon as my in-laws met her they let go of their fears of in-home help.  We started slowly with Abby but as my mother in-laws; condition worsened we quickly needed to ramp up the care.  Laura knew exactly how to implement a plan to keep everyone comfortable and taken care of.  She has caregivers that specialize in everything from companion care to end of life care which is what we eventually needed.  All of Laura's employees were kind, trustworthy and experienced.  As hard as it was to lose my mother-in- law, Marin Home Care made her last days more manageable and as a family we felt very supported.  I will always have much gratitude in my heart for Laura and her team who helped us through such a difficult time. Marin Home Care helped my family during a difficult time. Both my Dad and brother were diagnosed with cancer and required treatment within a few weeks of one another. Marin home care was there with a helping hand to ease the stress for my parents by helping with meal prep, grocery shopping, running to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions, changing bed linens, laundry, dishes etc. all while providing loving companionship.

I cannot write enough wonderful comments about Marin Home Care! I live out of state and often need assistance with a relative's care. After having 'issues'; with two other senior care agencies, I was feeling a bit defeated until I called Marin Home Care. I left a voicemail (after hours) and Laura responded almost immediately to my plea for help. She went to work in a caring and professional manner and very quickly she had lined up an aide to assist my relative. Laura was invaluable to us during a time of great stress. On incredibly short notice she was able to provide excellent caregiving for my stepfather. Beyond that she was always available for any questions or concerns and turned a time of immense worry into a manageable situation knowing he was so well cared for and that his needs were always exceptionally met. If you are looking for a home care service, look no further. In September I was diagnosed with Leukemia and underwent a bone marrow transplant in December. Part of my recovery is to be on house arrest for 100 days. The social worker at the hospital gave me a list of companies that she recommended. I interviewed a few by phone and my main concern was that I wanted to meet the caregiver first to make sure we were a fit. These other companies said we just keep on sending you people until you click with someone. I was too sick to interview people. I was recommended by one of my friends to call Marin Home Care. Before I was discharged Laura, the owner brought the manager and two caregivers to the hospital for me to meet before they started. I was so impressed that Laura brought the caregivers to the hospital. It has been over a month now and not only am I impressed with the regular duties of fixing my lunch, driving me to Dr. appointments, and doing my laundry, These caregivers keep me upbeat with their positive attitude that I am doing great and I will heal. We found Marin Home Care when my father-in-law and the rest of the family needed help caring for my mother-in-law, who had dementia. Laura was kind, competent and knowledgeable right off the bat. She took the time to really get to know and understand not just our needs but the family dynamic. The people who work with her provided companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping and more. Laura and I spoke at least weekly about how things were going and what could be adjusted. Laura was always flexible and just wanted to figure out how best to help us. Having absolutely zero experience hiring caregivers, I was referred to Caroline by a Case Manager from MarinHealth Medical Center. Following individual "Meet and Greets"(a smart protocol) to determine if the fit was ideal with my dear 89 year old friend who was bedridden for 7+ weeks and recently passed, every caregiver mentioned above provided the highest quality of 24/7 care a anxious and concerned loved one could possibly expect. Their supportive, kind, empathetic, attentive and thorough care was unparalleled! In addition to top notch care, they kept daily records and kept my friends home impeccably organized and clean. It became clear Marin Home Care is a well-organized professional caregiving organization. Additionally, if a particular caregiver was out, or not a good fit (1 only) for my friend, Caroline and Jessica immediately found a suitable substitute caregiver in an expeditious manner, relieving a tremendous amount of stress. We absolutely love working with Marin Home Care. They have provided terrific caregivers for my wife who suffers from a long-term illness. We started with an occasional day for a couple of hours while I attended a meeting or appointment. As our needs grew, Marine Home Care was always able to respond.  They eventually found us a regular caregiver for three days a week to meet our needs and schedule.  Their staff is always respectful, professional and compassionate. I’m proud to recommend their services!

Getting older is hard enough. When getting older and a pandemic happen concurrently, and existing medical problems start to worsen, it really can feel hopeless to our senior family members. It's especially heartbreaking to family members who live several hundred miles away. As I watched my father-in-law, who wished to age in place, start to fumble and have trouble at home, I knew we had to look for help. He was hospitalized for an extended stay and needed home care when he was discharged home. Marin Home Care literally came to the rescue. In truth we were initially very wary of people entering the home, in general and especially because of COVID, BUT we knew we had to find help. After reviewing a long list of home care providers, we interviewed 5, and chose Marin Home Care. There were several reasons why they were chosen. First, they always answered each phone call. No answering service, no voicemail returned the next day, or in some cases a few days later-there was someone answering the phone any time of day that I called. Second, the people answering the call- Jessica, Heather, Caroline-to name a few of the outstanding staff- were kind listeners, helpful, and tried to accommodate us, even with urgent requests. We met with the staff in a socially distant way, and signed the paperwork to get started. Easy process and streamlined paperwork. The third, and most compelling reason we chose Marin Home Care, and also the reason we are writing this testimonial, is that their staff are professional, well trained, and well matched for the clients. My Father-in-law, a difficult personality on a good day, was thrilled with the staff that attended to him, and he adjusted so well to having them around. Although initially very reluctant to have home help, he found himself appreciating the helpful personnel and wanting to have them around more often. They are caring, kind and insistent ( in a gentle manner) in completing their work each visit. We had some turnover related to the staff coming to our father-in-law's home, usually due to schedules, but with each new person, we found that each one was a better fit than the last person. Marin Home Care came to the rescue and for the past two years they have provided her with two amazing caregivers. We have been fortunate enough to have the same weekday caregiver from the first day she arrived at home. We have a wonderful weekend caregiver as well. Both are extremely well trained, understanding, loving and kind, enthusiastic and completely trustworthy! Caroline and the staff at Marin Home Care have really been there for us on every level.
